Sorry for making your new package dirty with our instructional content. Feel free to delete all of it. You might want to print out this page before you do so, because you'll delete this page also in the process. Heres how to do it.
Log in to the Joomla Administrator
Delete Content (Articles)
Go into Content->Article Manager

Check each of the checkboxes in the Article Manager where the category is "Getting Started".

Trash the articles by clicking the "trash" button in the top toolbar.

You should keep the "home", "about", and "lorem ipsum" pages for your own use. Replace the home content with your own content or use the frontpage component instead. Replace also the About content with your own about content. These are two standard items you tend to find on any site. The lorem ipsum page is stock content that you can copy to all your pages, when you are mocking up your site. This is the industry standard content for mock-ups.
Deleting Section and Categories
Now we need to delete the section and categories that we used for the Instructional content. First we need to delete the category and then we need to delete the section.
Go to Content->Category Manager

Check "Getting Started" and click the "Delete" button in the top toolbar.

Follow the same steps above but for section. So, go to Content->Section Manager...
Check "Joomla Packages" this time and "delete" from the toolbar.

Delete the Menu and Menu Items
The last thing you need to delete is the menu associated with the Getting Started Content, cleverly named "Getting Started".
Go to Menus->Menu Manager

Check the "Getting Started" menu and click "Delete" in the toolbar.

You'll be asked one last time if you really want to do this, choose "Delete" again from the toolbar.
Final thing To Do
Both the menu and content have a recycle bin type trash, where it maintains all the items that you previously deleted. If ever you delete something you didn't want deleted you can recover it using the "article trash" or "menu trash" options in their appropriate menus. If you want to permanently delete everything that we have deleted thus far, then enter into both of these "trash" bins and permanently delete them.

That's everything!
