First Steps: Secure Your Administrator

The first thing you need to do before we do anything is to secure your system. In order to secure your system we need to change the Administrator's username and password to a username and password that you prefer. Try to create a username and password that someone couldn't guess, but of course, it needs to be something you can remember (even if your browser's password auto-completion stops working!). Open up a new browser window or tab so you can view this 4 step tutorial and Administrator at the same time. Point your new tab or window to:http://yourdomain.tld/administrator
so if your domain name is "superduperdomain.com" then go to:
http://superduperdomain.com/administrator
Login to the Administrator with the default username and password:
- username: admin
- password: wysiwyg
Now go through the steps...
Step 1
Go to site->User Manager

Step 2:
Select the Administrator user

Step 3:
In User Details, change your username, email, and password

Step 4:
Save!
